I'm back! Did you miss me? NO?!? Who asked you anyway?!? (oh yeah, me...) MOVING ON!
I was in quite a repetitive mood this morning... Sorry 'bout that. You may have noticed that TAYG is no longer showing :(
If you are like the ever loyal and contributing Bookworm (I thank you kindly Bookworm!), you may have noticed a few habits I and this blog have developed. There is the screamingly obvious such as the grammatically appauling overuese of brackets and referncing TAYG quite often. Some more suttle habits you might not've noticed could include using the word grammatically as much as possible, using the word taygified (well that was kinda [extremely...] obvious), randomly switching my language to Italian (I do that in reality too) blah blah blah continue. Have you noticed any not mentioned here?
I've been blogging for a few months now so I suppose it's time I enlighten you as to how this blog came into being. I have been meaning to tell you about the book too for some time now. Curious? Good! So, when I was at my friends house I was admiring her book, 101 Things To Do Before You're Old and Boring and decided to buy a copy for myself. (It's really good; I suggest you buy it [I need for unofficial, unaware sponsors!]) It's basically a list (and detailed description) of 101 fun activities that would be awesome to do while still young. No. 36 - Start Your Own Blog. Thats how the ball got rolling (lol, cheesy) and eventually I was begging for permission. That failed terribly and I wrote a very convincing exposition and IT WORKED! That's basically it. More on the book now...
So far I have successfully completed 16/101 (Run up an escalator the wrong way, make an origami crane, help save the planet, start your own blog [NO, really? {types Didzsa sarcastically}], be a genius, learn to like these foods, invent a new game, learn to swim, know who your friends are, host a party, make a t-shirt, stay up all night [it was only 'til 5 but... still], have a snowball fight and fun in the snow, write a story and get it published, learn to use long words (and drop them in conversation), have a sleepover) (wait... that's 17! [I can't even count!!! D:) How characteristically average of me. I'm currently on a holiday so I've got a whole that of free time in need of filling (that means a lot more blogging for you). If you feel like it (see I'm not always pushy [That's another habit; me begging you to follow me! {Seriously though, FOLLOW MY BLOG. Everyonr wants to be my WB}]) you can search the list of 'things to do' on the internet and give me a few requests (keep me occupied and you entertained!).
Maybe a little more minion contribution could do this blog good. What do you want to hear? What interests you? Perhaps adjusting to your tastes will help me to gain some Web Minions. OMG, I'M GONNA BEG AGAIN NOW!!! Please follow me! C'mon WBs, I now you're hiding out there somewhere. Bookworm (who is really taygified, loyal, contributing, grammaitcally flawless, hilarious and much loved. I love my Web Minions!) must be getting lonely.
I appear to have run out of unimportant topics to babble on about. Remember (habit: reminding you of your orders at the end of a post) note habits, buy 101 Things To Do Before You're Old and Boring (I still can't believe I've never been paid for all these ADVERTS), suggest '101 things to do' to do, suggest general boredom busters, suggest stuff for me to babble about, FOLLOW ME and... well.. that's basically it. Ciao Web Serventi (I'll admit I needed a translator for that one!)! I <3 Us!!!
Sayonara (Tayg reference [high-five!]) (habit!) by glorious following of taygified and obediant Web Minions! (Hmmm, will sucking up lead to followers?) Inspirational lyrics to leave you with:
Our consciences are always so much heavier than our egos
- Turn Off The Lights (guess who...)
Bye. Really now, I'm leaving. You can stop reading now. Seriously STOP!!! If you're reading this I'm very mad. LISTEN TO ME MY MINION! Oh whatever then. If you completely ignored my every order (just now, I meant [mean]) leave a comment stating this : Taygified pickle tree is being eaten by unicorns. I'm serious. Let's see who's been disobedient (or dishonest!). Okay then, cya.
Taygified pickle tree is being eaten by unicorns.
ReplyDeleteI will follow the rest of your orders though... just a second...

Things you should do from '101 Things to do Before You're Old and Boring':
ReplyDelete1. Send a message in a bottle (maybe try Kedron Brook??)
9. Play a computer game to the End
28. Learn to do a party trick
30. Make a One-Minute Movie (maybe...)
49. Read these books (could be slightly boring... but if you go here: http://www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/readon.aspx you could win prizes [in the Summer Holidays])
55. Invent a new trend
59. Camp out in the Back Garden (Winter is probably the wrong season...!)
60. Learn to live without something you love for a week (ooh... tough)
65. Learn to juggle
90. Get from A to B using a map
97. Learn to take grest photos
Wow... a very long list...
P.S. Did you mean to make SO many SPELLING errors in the third paragraph? (I'm not yelling at you. Just emphasising. Strongly.)Anyway, the list:
appalling
overuse
subtle
**Not criticising. You find more to babble about then I could in my life. Just have to keep up my reputation as "gramatically flawless!"
Bookworm :)
Habits:
ReplyDeleteAt least a paragraph or two of good-byes, ending phrases, and reminders.
Hmm... I can't think of any others. I think you pretty much covered them all! Although I must reiterate your own comment: you do beg a Lot!
Things I would like to hear about:
TV (not just TAYG!)
Movies
Books
Semi colons
Social inanities, customs etc. (Especially seemingy random ones)
Interesting, perhaps slightly out-dated words (e.g. shall, indeed, mayn't, etc.)
Also, intereseting long words (e.g. surreptitous. Perhaps you could mention and define one new word each time?? I'd find that very interesting. You could begin by telling us (me) your long words that you dropped into conversation!)
And do feel free to babble about the weather, snail you are following the progress of, school, whatever. It makes very interesting reading...
Bookworm
I shall stagger my reponse to your comments as you did the comments themselves.
ReplyDeleteApologies for all the spelling errors. Don't worry yourself; I do have primary spelling skills! I was pretending I could touch type...
I don't know whether I should be pleased or appalled with your first comment as I ordered you not to continue reading but I also ordered you to write that comment... so... well... I'm confused!
I thought of another habit! All the titles for my posts are '_______ and _______' (which is completely intentional.
Clearly not first yet certainly foremost in importance, HOW DID YOU KNOW ABOUT SURREPTITIOUS?!? (that was one of the words by the way [ in stating that, I may have just answered my own question!{ I'm asking, none the less!}])
My message for the bottle has been typed, translated into many languages and readily awaits me gaining access to the sea (speeds the travel process and increases the chance of great distances) and a durable, water-tight bottle (any suggestions?)
ReplyDeleteNo. 59 might be quite a challenge due to my recently developed, intense fear of night noises and those that lurk in the darkness provided by the night (I'm not afraid of the dark. I'm rather fond of darkness. I'm just terrified of what's in the dark.)
I was given a lovely camera not long ago so my photography is well on it's way to great!
I tried the milkshake yesterday and failed terribly. I'll type about it in my next post.
Semicolons?!? How dare you torment me so?!?!? I utterly adore long and outdated wordly so I shall be sure to include lots of information on them (I must admit[ more accurately, I choose to admit], I hadn't heard of mayn't before you brought it up!)
ReplyDeleteOk. From top to bottom:
ReplyDeleteTouch typing program: GoKeys. It has taught me to touch type (I've gone from 10WPM to 48!)
Just lucky with surreptitious, I guess. Perhaps it was in my subconcious from your dropping into sentences! I also love the word melancholy...
With the message in a bottle: sorry, no suggestions. I have several times contemplated completing that 'thing' but the impediments you mentioned have always put me off it
Oh...
Lucky you have the camera! (Can you?) post the photos on this blog once you have taken them?
Oh...
I don't think there are many people who actually say mayn't but it is in the dictionary, and I think it is a really cool wword to use, especially if you want to be gramatically correct but still use a contraction (i.e. not can't). E.g.:
Kid: Can I go outside, mum?
Annoying, smart alec type English professor mum: I would imagine you can, however, you mayn't.
Kid: What?
The mum: Whilst it is physically possible for you to go outsidee, you can, I do not give you permission to do so, so you mayn't.
Kid: (has lost interest.)

Surreptitious was a lucky guess? That's unbelievable! That is only my favourite word which I learnt after I heard it in my favourite song. I spent several weeks showing my expansive vocabulary (consisting of that one word) to everyone I saw. Wow, that was an EXTREMELY lucky guess...
