Little Towns and Journals

Thurs 29/12/11
Top of the morn' to you all! I'm headed out with the fam again to check out what Nanny's little town has to offer. I'll go into an unnecessarily DETAILED description of that when driving home. I was wondering, should I make a new blog for journalling? If I did, only the people who are REALLY interested (ei. nobody) would have to read them (and others wouldn't have to skim though my posts to find Sunday posts). Thoughts (comment)? Would YOU read more of these obnoxious journal entries (comment also)?

Later (14:17)
Leaving! Bye bye Nanny. I'll miss you! Okay, so here's what happened today:
First of all we headed down to a near by botanical garden to look at turtles in the lake there. (There's also a big amphitheatre there [I'll post a pic of it at the end of my next Sunday post]). The lake was also home to water hens and tadpoles. The turtles were CUTE! Most interesting sport ever = Tadpole Football! (One tadpole would find a little white piece of food and swim away while being chased and run into by other tadpoles until the piece was dropped and caught by another tadpole. This would continue until a larger tadpole got the food and managed to eat it without dropping it. Good stuff!). We went to the strip of shops in town, afterwards. Got to THRIFT! Yay! I found this AWESOME Nightmare Before Christmas shirt and it was official Disney brand! Thennnnnnnnnnn we ate food (at a French restaurant/café). Fun day! I can't wait to get home and post all these! When I arrive back, I going to give my modem a BIGGGGGGGGG hug and then probably spend an hour on Twitter XD Without Internet, I don't know if you've posted suggestions yet but (,if not,) PLEASE DO! xoxo, Didz

Beach Life and Journals

Wed 28/12/11
As a family, we're headed out to a beach (a beach that is likely to be closed [due to treacherous conditions], mind you [could make for quite an adventure!]) today, via ferry. I'm wearing my Emily the Strange singlet today to remind me of adventures. Last night I watched 'Alice in Wonderland' (2010) and thought that maybe I'm looking for adventures in the wrong place. Maybe my DREAMS would be more adventurous! Just a thought.

I'm just back from what my mother is calling an "adventure", but, to the standard of this "journal", wasn't one. The beach was packed and the weather perfect but we steered clear if there. Basically, we caught a ferry, looked at shops, ate fish and chips then caught a ferry home. Despite saying that, it was a LOVELY daytrip. I needed a daytrip. :) It just wasn't an adventure. Adventures are beginning to sound like a lot if work. Maybe I don't want one. I'll go do my 'interesting things' now (13 in honour of Emily :) )

I'm signing off for the day. I read back over my previous entries and thought I should add: DON'T TAKE ANY OF THIS TOO SERIOUSLY! I'm just bored and boring! :D I think the reason I can't find adventure is because I'm LOOKING for it. Perhaps I should stop doing that. Perhaps I shouldn't. Who's to know?!? These journals are boringly pointless (although most of this blog is [well not so much boring {I hope} part but definitely as pointless :P {it fits right in!}]) Another simple thought: maybe instead of just waiting for an adventure, I should DO something to cause an adventure. Sounds dangerous. Goodnight beautiful (or handsome, if you wish) Web Minions! <3 data-blogger-escaped-br=""> P.S. I know nothing about adventures
P.P.S I return home tomorrow which means I can post these journal entries then (after tweeting fanatically, that is)! YAY! Wi-Fi, how I've missed you!

Night Antics and Journals

19:34 now and I've decided to do an interesting things at Nanny's when my camera is charged (just in case I run out of things to post a few weeks from now [I already have an interesting things from Grandma & Pop's house waiting to be published]). I'm going to explore now just to get a headstart. Maybe I'll find adventure along the way.

Shortly After
Nanny's shampoo and conditioner have labels written in Papyrus. I must remember to face then toward the wall when showering. In honour of the one who started all this, Enily the Strange, every list in these journal posts will be 13 items long.

Later (but not be much)
I went into a hysterical laughing fit while playing scrabble. Note: simply looking at other players without breaking stares really throws off their game. ;D

Journals and Adventures

Tue 27/12/11
Hello dearest Web Minion! I am currently located at my Nanny (grandmother)'s house which (catastrophically) has NO WIRELESS INTERNET. (*Controls urge to cry in a corner for the entire length of visit*) To keep myself mildly entertained, I read (the entirety) of the book I got for Christmas, 'Emily the Strange: Stranger and Stranger' (second installment of the series). It was curiously SPECTACULAR (I highly recommend to series [I think Bookworm would find it an amusing alternative to the books he/she usually reads and Bookworm and Emily have an oddly similar writing style). It got me thinking though... Why can't I have an epic adventure? I know that book adventures are quite unrealistic (especially ones about self-duplication!) but, in the next few days, I WILL find or create an adventure. I will be documenting these Emily style but with, no Internet connection, I will have to post all the "journal" entries on Sunday (most likely now or a few days ago by the time you read this). Hopefully I'll have time for a normal post too. (I have googled [helplessly] "How to find adventure" before but without without Internet I will have no such assistance in my attempts.) Signing off (at 19:13), Didzsa

Interesting Things and Holiday Wishes

Yo WBs,
Today I went down a park and challenged myself to find ten interesting things in that park. The list is as follows:

1. Me!

2. A pretty little feather

3. Used party popper

4.An Ideal Vantage Point

5. Perfect place to dump a body

6. Gross rubber glove
7. This... thingy?
8. Cute Birds (they were little sparrow like things and proved far too difficult to photograph)
9. Odd Grasshopper
10. Naked Tree
I hope you liked my little list. I'm sorry for this not being a normal post but I'm still a bit out of it. It's also good to change things up a little from time to time! If you know the location of these pictures, for my safety, could you please not talk about it in the comments. Thanks.

Guess what! There's less than a week left 'til Christmas!!! Do you have any holiday plans (comment)? I probably won't post until after the big day so I wish you a Merry Christmas!!!!! Have a fun time!

Sayonara (TAYG reference [high-five!])!!!!! Cya Web Minions.

Updates and Complaints

My titles are sounding beautiful tonight! Too bad my actual posts SUCK! I'm not very fond of my last post. Well, I love all of it except for the reviews. I can review, I swear (usually...). Off night? (Let's hope!) I am disappointed in myself and frustrated at my unenlightening reviews. I also forgot to make them funny. Let us officially acknowledge that they were terrible. Now we can move on. (What did you think of my AWFUL reviews [comment]?)

The ground is so very hard. Nothing at all interesting has happened as of yet. Mystery and I have given up on interacting. I am bored. The ground is hard. Ouch. I had excepted this to be fun and exciting. There is an ant on my screen. Now it's on my arm. Now it's on my pillow. I can't find the ant. I'll name it Toby. Why am I acting like this at only 1am??? This is an early time for me to doze off. I am very awake though.

To make up for my terrible posts today... wait! It's Monday. I usually post on Sunday. Lol! Anyway... To make up for the terrible posts so far today, I will post another full post later today that will hopefully be less atrocious. Good bye (for now).

Tents and Television

Why hello there! What are the chances of us meeting here (likely considering this is MY blog yet very unlikely considering us meeting here would require you to read my blog. In conclusion, it would be both likely and unlikely [unless you're Bookworm, in which case it would be simply likely). What do you think of the weather lately? (It's slightly sarcastic with a good chane of A: indifference and B: disinterest in what the critics say! [If you get the reference, let's get married!]) With conversations like this, it's no wonder why people (note the plural) aren't reading this!

I thank you kindly, Bookworm for your last minute suggestions! I was beginning to think I would have to think of my own idea ( a daunting task)!

Before I continue this post, I ought to tell you that I am currently in a tent. That's right! I am undertaking a dare as I type this paragraph! I'm not going it alone though. Placed awkwardly beside me (this being a one person tent) is Mystery.

I would like to take a moment to introduce Mystery. This is my anonymous companion (biffle? bf/gf? relation? Stayed tuned to find out!).

Btw, the only reason I chose to complete the 'sleep in your backyard' option is because (without my knowledge) a camp out was already arranged for tonight! (How oddly convenient!)

Hmmm... TV, TV, TV... Well, as is your wish, I do plan to mention (I so very nearly typed 'talk about'! Will I ever learn?) Television in this post (ad suggested by the title) but I have no idea where to start. The truth is as follows: I haven't been watching much TV lately. Actually that isn't true at all ( I'm sorry for lying twice). I watch a great deal of TV but I do not pay a great deal of attention to it. Usually while watching TV (unless it's SYTYCD), I'm thinking of other things, tweeting, watching YouTube, chatting, tweeting, checking Facebook, making crafts, tweeting, plotting, listening to music, tweeting, googling, tweeting, checking trending topics on Twitter, reading tweets or tweeting. This (I assume) will prove more difficult than first anticipated.

I just remembered that incredible alliteration that graces this post's title! Web Minion(s), I order you to praise my alliteration skills! In advance, you're too kind! Thankyou!

Television... I know. I will give a VERY short review to my favourite shows from different genres! Here goes nothing! (That saying is stupid ["here goes nothing"]! I mean, it's obviously something and if it were nothing, how would it be going?)

Gameshow: Hmm... I wonder what that might be...! *sarcastically* TAYG!!! (duh!) That I have already reviewed. You should know that!

Reality Show: I unashamedly admit that I like reality TV. GASP SHOCK HORROR! Yeah, I know. But, let's be honest, you probably secretly enjoy it too! Back to the point...

So You Think You Can Dance - This would have to be my favourite currently airing show. It doesn't really matter which country the season is based in (US is better though [just saying]), there will always be awe-inspiring performances. Weeke after week, I am left with goosebumps at the routines pulled out. The choreography on this show is perfect as are the competing dancers. SYTYCD is bringing much deserved popularity to the shunned art of dance.

Animation:
Total Drama Island/Action/World Tour-
Total Drama is everything we wish Reality TV could legally be! If you took Survivor, made it funny, took the challenges to extreme and smacked it over the head until it was insane, you would get Total Drama. There's also something about the characters that makes you want to either love or hate them! If you haven't seen the program, CHECK IT OUT! (Free advertising...) It's simply side-splitting!

Comedy: Hamish and Andy's Gap Year - What's more funny than watching two guys find adventure and go about it completely cluelessly? I can't really describe to humour of the duo. I'll try, none this less! Their jokes and skits are mix of 'so stupid it's funny', natural hilarity and extremely quick wit. It. Is. FUNNY!!!!!

Drama: Glee - Although I haven't watched the first series or any of the latest episodes, I would have say that Glee is my favourite Drama. Despite it technically being either a comedy or musical, it is the only show I like with an actual story-line/ that isn't pure laughs. This show flows so seamlessly between all three of these genres which if one of the good things about it. Also, it was designed to be relatable and it shows. I can not think of any more to say. You see, it's 0:35 and I'm not very creative at this hour. Correction, I am most creative late in the night and in the early hours if the morning but I am not a very productive or creative person.

I had planned to touch on another subject but I feel obliged to actually interact with Mystery.

BBBBBYYYYYYEEEEE!!!!! Remember Web Minions, praise my alliteration, suggest an era for me to review (I'll do a proper, in depth and educated review for that though. I have been VERY randomly tired today which is why I have word block. I apologise.) and please suggest another dare (if you can [like, no pressure). Also, could you give me 'to do' ideas because my holidays have been boring (due to my boringness).

CYA! I LOVE YOU! FARWELL! I will keep posting little snippets of randomness tonigt. This being my blog dare and all. Bye. I shall return very soon. Bye. Bye. Seriously, bye,

Bye! :P

Apps and Convenience

Oh! There is an apple app for blogger. Why was I not alerted of this before? If I were alerted prior, I would not have missed so many posts. How convenient! You can expect a lot more little random updates such as this! (If you don't want random post such as this [and the previous post], do tell me!) P.S if you've just arrived and you're very confused by all these posts, be sure to go back and read the two previous posts. Yes. There are 3 posts this week. You are lucky.) CYA SUNDAY (or possibly sooner)!

Post Offices and Pipework

Hihi, I'm back.

One of my goals for these holidays is to begin work on one of my novels. The "begin" part is already achieve but I've only written 1277 words so far! Some chapter book! Before I continue work, I wanted to know if people would be interested in the story and what changes I could make, in general. Without further a do, I present to you the first 2 paragraphs of my novel, 'The Clock Maker's Daughter:

Scampering down the cobblestone street ran a young girl with her skirts, cut to fall no further than her knees, hoisted up in her hands as she sprinted. Onlooking women tittered at the sight of the youth’s bare calves. However, her tightly coiled ringlets spoke of wealth and respectable status, greatly confusing the ladies lining the street. Running toward the city’s heart was a very curious little lady. The Post Office was clear in view by the time Cora slowed to a skip. It was a large building. Post Offices aren’t often built to be pretty and this structure was no exception. Though constructed with only practicality in mind, there was an odd beauty to the red brick, box like building with copper pipes snaking around every inch of it. The girl danced up the grand staircase leading toward the three glass doors in the red brick of the building. Pushing through the bustling crowd of workers, young boys on errands and fine gentlemen, gathered on the staircase, she came to the main door. She pressed the brass button next to the door and then listened as gears clicked and whirred from within the wall. The only impractical aspect of the Post Office was its automated doors. When the door eventually opened, Cora and a gaggle of impatient men filed into the Post Office.

So, what do you think? Would you be intrigued to read more of that book. Please leave criticisms and opinions in the comments below because it would be very helpful for more and your comments make me happy! :) BYE! (I still love you) (Btw, the novel is aimed at Young Adults [teens])

Catastrophic Cases and Very Little Else

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey Web Minions,
It's been AGES since I posted. I kept promising to post any never got up to it because, frankly, nothing really interesting has happened over the course of my holiday so far. As this is the introductory paragraph obliged to make polite conversation with you, as is my habit (did I mention that in the habit post?) So: How have you been in my absence? Are you well? Can you forgive me? That's good (or is it...)

Mooooooooooooooooooving on to my first (and only) subject: catastrophic cases. Well, to be perfectly honest, these "cases" are not catastrophic at all but it makes my blog sound interesting or somewhat important :) Firstly, I have misplaced something very dear to my heart; my 101 Things book is GONE! Disappeared, nowhere to be found, gone without a trace! *cue tears* (That's another reason I haven't been able to post.) I am guttered by the loss. I am also determined to find it. Unfortunately, I have no place to start looking. I'd best make some educated guesses.

10 Places Where my Book Could Possibly Be (However Unlikely)

  1. the location of "My Country Vacation" :'(
  2. on my bookshelf
  3. in a parallel universe (quite likely)
  4. in the wild, undiscovered depths of my cupboard (dunt dunt DUNT!!!)
  5. exactly where I left it (wherever that may be)
  6. in a luggage bag
  7. in one of my handbags
  8. in the garage
  9. stolen by LaLaLally or sox145rox (my siblings)
  10. I ATE IT! (For that statement to make sense, I must explain a real life habit of mine. For some reason that is unknown to me, often when people ask questions such as, "Where is my...? or "Have you seen...?", I answer with, "I ATE IT!" I have simply no idea where and how this habit began [I've been doing it for less than a year though]
If it's not in any of those places, I'm out of luck. You wouldn't happen to know where my book is, would you (how silly)?

Now to address catastrophic case numero 2. Remember my fiance, Sam? Well, *sniff* I have some sad news. This is very hard for me to talk about. Sam deflated. If I sometimes forget to post, that is probably why. Please understand that this is a hard time for me, losing a loved one and all. At least I have my loving family (and hopefully you guy[s]) there for me. Jk, I'll just buy another cactus and pretend it's Sam! Maybe you could get me one for Christmas...

(btw, this is [correction, *was] Sam

CHRISTMAS! Oh my! It's nearly Christmas. If you're not Christian, sorry. I haven't talked religion on this blog before but I can;t help but mention Christmas. It is a little rude, though, how Christians shove their holiday in everyone's faces (with decorations, shop sales, in media [movies, tv, magazines]). If you're Christian (or perhaps even not [as many atheists celebrate a commercial Christmas), are you excited for Christmas? Any plans? Do you have a wishlist? I'll leave my EXTREMELY greedy wishlist in the comments and, if you choose, you may do the same.

I have a scheme. My scheme is as follows: to extend my reign over every social networking platform possible before the end of the holidays! I've already told you about my Tweeter ( http://twitter.com/#!/didzsa22 ) and Fb ( http://www.facebook.com/pages/Didzsa/233742373305819 ) so it's time to take on YOUTUBE! I must admit that I have an obsession and unhealthy fascination with YouTube. I love acting and writing so the format would suit me. I have written a few scripts and planned out many videos already. My plan for YouTube is flawless (like Spencer [not THAT flawless though]) apart from one thing: I'm not allowed YouTube. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! My dreams of becoming a YouTube celebrity just like my personal obsessions, Smosh and Shane Dawson, were temporarily crushed. However, I am now speeding down a railroad of determination and dedication so I WILL get YouTube before the end of the holidays. I was also thinking of giving myself (Didzsa) a Facebook profile but then I realized I don't like Facebook (because my heart belongs to Twitter). Apologies to Bookworm for talking (typing [I'm such an idiot] I meant typing) about social networking, a subject which couldn't interest you less (I assume), for so very long.

As revealed in the title, there is very little else for me to talk about. Unfortunately, I am so un-creative that only you can change that! My last tactic of saying (typing! Dallon Christ, I did it again!!!), "Give my anything to review!" (but not in that exact words [or maybe it was]) didn't really work out. For this week: tell me what YouTube video I should review (sorry about that Bookworm but I think you'll enjoy next week's) and start thinking about what you're going to type (I got it right!) next week when I ask what era I should reveiw! I ORDER YOU TO MY WEB MINIONS! (It's been too long since I last typed [got it]) that!) Even though I haven't got my '101 Things' book (aka Old & Boring), please leave a suggestion of one "thing" that I should complete this week.

As per usual, my stream of pointless topic to chat pointlessly about has been blocked by the dam of unoriginality. REMEMBER my beautifully perfect Web Minions, forgive me, help my look for my book, leave a wishlist (if you want [maybe I'll post you an imaginary copy of something you really want through the internet]) and LEAVE ME SUGGESTIONS BECAUSE I'M A BORING AND BORED PERSON. (Yes, i was yelling (metaphorically) with that CAPS LOCKS. (That there however was not metaphorical yelling. It was merely a demonstration of caps lock.)

OH pilsnering firetruck (I swear too much)! I forgot to be funny. :/ Never mind. Byyyyyyyyyyyye (I don't know why I was draaaaaaaaagging my letters randomly in this post.) ! I love you. I truly do. Thankyou for reading my posts. To be honest, it doesn't matter to me if 1 person is reading this or 100. All that matters is there is someone out there how cares what I have to say and bothers to put up with my every now and then, when I finally post. LOTS of gooey love from Didzsa :P Sayonara (TAYG reference [hi-five!]) (I ought to excitedly inform you that TAYG might be returning [or already has returned with me noticed {if this is true, please inform me}] because on their fb page, they asked for trophies! *does happy dance* eeeeep!)

Even more gooey love,
Didzsa <3

Reviving Words and Many Other Things

Hihi Wbs! What's happin' in your neck of the woods? Is the weather unbearably hot? Are you screaming and dying due to the insane weather? Yes? That's nice.

Okay then, I know I promised I would find some intriguing and outdated words for you to integrate into conversation but then I realised: I don't know any good words. I ended up on this website  http://www.brownielocks.com/words.html
The following list of 10 words has been comprised of my current favourite words and the cream of this website's crop:
1. Surreptitious (undoubtedly the grandest word the ever exist)
2. Bubulcitate - to cry like a cowboy
3. Mayn't (naturally!)
4. Festuceous - like a straw
5. Taygified
(it seems quite obvious that none of the words on that site are actual English words though I would still advice checking out the awesome site! I will switch to another site now: http://listverse.com/2007/09/22/20-weird-english-words/ )
6. Rastaquouere - A social intruder
7. Pulveratricious - Covered with dust ("Mum, you should really clean the house! It's pulveratricious!)
8. Phenakism - Deception or trickery
9. Antidisestablishmentarianism - yeah, I still have no idea what this means...
10. Nudiustertian - The day before yesterday

Ha! Get a load of them!!! One difficulty of using these in conversation may be pronouncing them! I want your contribution. I order you to list 3 words that deserve to be revived.

I don't tell you too  much about my personal life but I have a very important announcement to make. I'm engaged!!! I'm set to marry my now fiance, a gender-less, inflatable cactus named Sam! I just thought I would share my good news with you. We've been engaged for about 4 months but I haven't posted in ages!

I'm looking to do a review for my next post. I'll  need you to suggest a movie, tv show, apple app, website, other blog, youtube vid, magazine or cd to check out during the week so I can give you the lowdown on it next weekend. What do you want to hear about? (Is the whole 'reader contribution subtle way of conning you into following me' thing working yet. [if no: please, please, please, PUH-LEASE follow me!!!])

I went to the art gallery today to see an exhibition on a french man's photography (forgot his name) and that definitely re-sparked my interest in taking photo. I'll look to complete the 'learn to take great photos' thing to do very soon! Speaking of things do to, I'll try to complete one 'Thing to Do'  at least each week of the upcoming break and I'll need you do suggest one weekly (if it doesn't bother you).

Also, I'm starting (as in, right now) a game of one way truth or dare in the comments of my upcoming posts. All you have to do is comment a dare or question and I'll complete it for you (you only have to enjoy my self-humiliation). Have fun with that one!

I'll be off then. Apologies for this post not being at all funny. I'll try and make up for it next week. (lol JK! I'm never funny!) I would tell you what to remember but I've forgotten myself already. Cya. Bye. Later Sk8er (what the firetruck?!?)!Well... I'm so boring today that I can't even think of anymore ways to say goodbye. Bye.

I'm Back! (again) and More Social Networking

YO WEB MINIONS!!! How I have missed you (How? Very easily, that's how [because I miss you {sucking up again (the old habits are still alive - sucking up and using brackets!)}]) It's been soooooooooooooooo long! I'm sorry for abandoning you. I order you to forgive me! That's better.

Pretty much the whole time I've been away I spent busy, stressed, and completely insane in a full on, overly happy and LOUD kind of way. How have you been? Considering how long it has been obviously "Things have changed for me!" But not a dramatic, lifestyle replacement, new view on life kind of way. I just like different things now (and some the same).
Fav Music: PANIC! AT THE DISCO (x10 more fangirlishly and obsessively than before), The Brobecks and The Young Veins (they're in preference order)
Fav TV: So You Think You Can Dance (the location doesn't matter), Glee and TAYG (one question, is TAYG still showing? If yes, I haven't seen it in a LOOOONG time!)
Likes: SMOSH(!!!), sewing, other craft stuff, fashion (I'm obsessed), social networks and thrifting!

Next on the agenda (I don't actually have an agenda [unless you count the metaphorical one I just invented then): social networking! I mentioned before that I have a Facebook page but now you can follow me 24/7 because I HAVE TWITTER! (Twitter is better than fb [just saying]) This is it: http://twitter.com/#!/didzsa22
For those who are lucky enough to have Twitter, I order you to follow me!

Now you look here, I have nothing to say... yet. With the summer holidays speedily approaching (For those in the Northern Hemisphere: Hi & suck it!) I promise to make posting a regular thing once again. I will make an effort to be interesting in order to have a topic to post about and to use many of the tons of wonderful ideas for this blog that dearest Bookworm suggested. Whether you like it or not, there is A LOT more Didzsa coming the internet's way!

I know that it is too soon to end my first post after so very long but I must be off. Remember: forgive me and follow me! Not too much to remember this post. I hope to converse with you again as soon as possible. Sayonara (Tayg reference [hi-five!])!!!!! Bidding thee good fortune on thou path! Cya! Ciao! Hi! jk, jk, I swear I'm leaving now! (not a bad swear word though [something like 'pilsner' or 'firetruck']). BYE!!!!!!!!!!!! (Leave any more suggestions of post ideas in the comments! Thnx in advance!) There will also be more unsponsored adverts coming your way (just thought I might warn you). Okay, okay, goodbye. (Hey Bookworm, I use "mayn't" very regularly in conversation now and gained the most PRICELESS look from one of my very few peers! :D )

Habits and 101 things

I'm back! Did you miss me? NO?!? Who asked you anyway?!? (oh yeah, me...) MOVING ON!

I was in quite a repetitive mood this morning... Sorry 'bout that. You may have noticed that TAYG is no longer showing :(

If you are like the ever loyal and contributing Bookworm (I thank you kindly Bookworm!), you may have noticed a few habits I and this blog have developed. There is the screamingly obvious such as the grammatically appauling overuese of brackets and referncing TAYG quite often. Some more suttle habits you might not've noticed could include using the word grammatically as much as possible, using the word taygified (well that was kinda [extremely...] obvious), randomly switching my language to Italian (I do that in reality too) blah blah blah continue. Have you noticed any not mentioned here?

I've been blogging for a few months now so I suppose it's time I enlighten you as to how this blog came into being. I have been meaning to tell you about the book too for some time now. Curious? Good! So, when I was at my friends house I was admiring her book, 101 Things To Do Before You're Old and Boring and decided to buy a copy for myself. (It's really good; I suggest you buy it [I need for unofficial, unaware sponsors!]) It's basically a list (and detailed description) of 101 fun activities that would be awesome to do while still young. No. 36 - Start Your Own Blog. Thats how the ball got rolling (lol, cheesy) and eventually I was begging for permission. That failed terribly and I wrote a very convincing exposition and IT WORKED! That's basically it. More on the book now...

So far I have successfully completed 16/101 (Run up an escalator the wrong way, make an origami crane, help save the planet, start your own blog [NO, really? {types Didzsa sarcastically}], be a genius, learn to like these foods, invent a new game, learn to swim, know who your friends are, host a party, make a t-shirt, stay up all night [it was only 'til 5 but... still], have a snowball fight and fun in the snow, write a story and get it published, learn to use long words (and drop them in conversation), have a sleepover) (wait... that's 17! [I can't even count!!! D:) How characteristically average of me. I'm currently on a holiday so I've got a whole that of free time in need of filling (that means a lot more blogging for you). If you feel like it (see I'm not always pushy [That's another habit; me begging you to follow me! {Seriously though, FOLLOW MY BLOG. Everyonr wants to be my WB}]) you can search the list of 'things to do' on the internet and give me a few requests (keep me occupied and you entertained!).

Maybe a little more minion contribution could do this blog good. What do you want to hear? What interests you? Perhaps adjusting to your tastes will help me to gain some Web Minions. OMG, I'M GONNA BEG AGAIN NOW!!! Please follow me! C'mon WBs, I now you're hiding out there somewhere. Bookworm (who is really taygified, loyal, contributing, grammaitcally flawless, hilarious and much loved. I love my Web Minions!) must be getting lonely.

I appear to have run out of unimportant topics to babble on about. Remember (habit: reminding you of your orders at the end of a post) note habits, buy 101 Things To Do Before You're Old and Boring (I still can't believe I've never been paid for all these ADVERTS), suggest '101 things to do' to do, suggest general boredom busters, suggest stuff for me to babble about, FOLLOW ME and... well.. that's basically it. Ciao Web Serventi (I'll admit I needed a translator for that one!)! I <3 Us!!!

Sayonara (Tayg reference [high-five!]) (habit!) by glorious following of taygified and obediant Web Minions! (Hmmm, will sucking up lead to followers?) Inspirational lyrics to leave you with:

Our consciences are always so much heavier than our egos
- Turn Off The Lights (guess who...)

Bye. Really now, I'm leaving. You can stop reading now. Seriously STOP!!! If you're reading this I'm very mad. LISTEN TO ME MY MINION! Oh whatever then. If you completely ignored my every order (just now, I meant [mean]) leave a comment stating this : Taygified pickle tree is being eaten by unicorns. I'm serious. Let's  see who's been disobedient (or dishonest!). Okay then, cya.

Facebook and Stuff

"Oh how it's been so long,
We're so sorry we've been gone..."
-We're So Starving, 2008
Basically that was my sophstamacated way of saying, "HI-HI WBs, OMG I haven't posted in ages and I'm really really really really sorry guys!!!" I'm sure your lives have been missing their regular fill of brackets and awkward laughs. I've got to keep this short (actually I choose to) but I'll put up a full post very soon. Here's the thing: Didzsa has facebook! Yes, I have choosen to delve in the world of modern time-wasting and aimless updates. My page (Didzsa) already has 3 likes (myself and two friends [who have never read this blog] that were begged into 'liking'). Although that is notably better than the fanbase of this blog (BE MY WEB MINION!!! FOLLOW! FOLLOW! FOLLOW!), in the realm of FB, it's extremely terrible. I need you, my Web Minions to like my page for the good of my ego and well being. Please, like generously. I have one other page called 'Let's get taygified in the dicitonary' which is something that would benefit all mankind (obviously) so... like that too. Gtg lol brb!

Mentos and Coca Cola (No. That combination was completely coincedental)

Yo Web Minions,

How are you? Did you catch the 'Wizard of Oz' themed TAYG this week? I'm only trying to make polite conversation. What is the point of having a topic if you don't address it? Let's do so.

You (like me) may have chosen to immerse yourself in the world of chewy dragees. (I don't know what that means either.) Whether you prefer mint, spearmint, cola (the obvious choice), fruits, tropical, berry, cinnamon (imported from the US), rainbow (with a taste every fruit in the salad), or maybe the 'limited time only' fruity flavours like: watermelon, strawberry and orange, the king of the breath freshener world is joy for your jaws. Mentos (for those who hadn't yet guessed what I was talking about from either my clever intro or the post title), like gum but edible (,less likely to become a bubble and harder), may seem unproblematic (other than having to decide what flavour to buy and when they melt into a gloopy blob at the bottom of your bag) but, these mints are the topic of a quiet world-wide debate! Here's the problem: pronunciation.
It's 'Men-toss' vs. 'Men-toes'. (Poll oppurtunity!) Before you choose yur side, hear me out. Not long ago when I was with me friends, we were all eating Mentos and they all mocked and ridiculed my way of pronouciation, 'Men-toes'. (They used the Aussie slang version, 'Men-toss'.) But it turns out I'm right! At first my reason for saying it that way was that in a packet of Mentos there is more than lolly (mint, dragee, whatever). Other packets of lollies like Skittles, M&Ms and Smarties have their product names in plural form. So, that means that Mentos is just the plural form of the singular, 'Mento', which we assume is pronounced 'Men-toe'. Therefore the plural is pronounced the same way with an 's' on the end. (Apologies for boring you.) I also saw one particular episode of 'The Simpsons' that night that used the word Mentos (pronounced 'Men-toes) and they probably would've required legal permission from the Mentos company and would've been required to use the correct pronunciation. (So... Haha! I'm right :P) (Wow, that was more boring than I intended it to be) Wbs, I order you to say 'Men-toes' (when necessary).

Moving on, let's talk about cola (Coca Cola, not Pepsi. I hat Pepsi) If you watch TV (like most) you have probably seen that Australian (apologies for our international readers [pshaw, yeah right! What would someone outside Aus. be wasting their time reading this lame{I meant awesome} blog for?!?]) ad for Coke where some people in boardies and bikinis are being shot out of a giant inflatable Coke bottle by jet of air from a dangerous looking industrial fan. (If you haven't seen it, it's looks a lot better than I've made it sound.) If you have (seen that ad) you would have noticed there is a song playing in the background (no duh! I'm trying to bring that particular song into the topic. I wasn't trying to sound stupid [although it came across that way]! [For those concerned {for my health!}.]) That song is the official promotional song for Coca Cola, which I have always liked (the song). Now I know why I am so fond of that tune... it is an actual, real, proper song with it's own film clip and sung by famous musicians like Cee Lo Green, Travie McCoy, Patrick Stump (FOB[Fall Out Boy]) and BRENDON URIE (he being why I like it), lead singer (and pianist, keyboardist, back-up guitar, organist, back-up bass, back-up drums and accordian[ist?]) of Panic! At The Disco (Panic At The Disco, 2008-2010). Cee-Lo sings the first verse which is most of what you hear on the Aussie ad, Urie sings the chorus (purely because he is the best out of all of them),which also makes in into the Aus. ad. On the full track, Travie McCoy (Billionaire) can be heard in the rap. (When I said 'Billionaire' I meant the song by Bruno Mars.) The music video is definitely worth a watch. It has a whimsical, magical theme and stars a zebra who transforms into the mayor (Cee-Lo), a very cool teacher (Janelle Monae [who I forgot to mention is also in the song]) the pilot of a helicopter fish (no joke) (Patrick Stump), a hip hop robot guy (that could've been worded better)(McCoy) and features some epic dancing from an ever quirky and nerdy news reporter (Urie:)). Link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cxfkg3RaRjs

Enjoy.

Err...Um...run out of things to say...

Remember: 'Men-toes' (that sounds unappealing) and 'Open Happiness' with Coca Cola (Parent: You can't buy happiness sweetie, Child: I just bought a bottle of Coke for $2.95 [lolz{I hate people who laugh at their own jokes (hypocrite)}]) Four brackets! That's a new record! No! As appealing as the idea to cause an entertainingly explosive chemical reaction is sounding (metaphorically [unless you are reading this post out loud]), it's a waste two wonderful products. Coke and Mentos are best enjoyed separately (unless eating Cola Mentos [which I do recommend]). I can not believe I'm not getting paid for all this marketing! While we're at it, let's add a few more advertisements. Shall we? Yes we shall (TAYG reference [hi-five!])! Go out and buy Panic! At The Disco's new album, vices & virtues (purposely grammatically incorrect. It is written without capitals on the ablum cover [not that P!atD have ever cared about grammar {'!' and, in the absence of the exclamation point, the full stops in 'Pretty. Odd.'}]) ; it's wonderful! Also, don't forget to grab some Baby Lips lip balm by Maybelene and some 'Natures Organics, Natural Skin Expert, Sorbelene Cream! (Oh boy.)

Well farwell thy Web Minions. Apologies, if you found this post as boring as I did whilst reading it back. I myself will deem it boring in the little poll vote box thingy directly below the post. Sayonara (TAYG reference [hi-five{no-one has given me a high five in the comments yet}]) WBs. Sleep well, be happy (openly), never look back and buon appetit!

Hating Nova & Timed Titles (aka Polls & Polls)

Yo,
Before I start I would just like to explain one thing: the terms WBs. It obviously refers to Web Minions,  but then shouldn't it be "WMs" The main reason I didn't use this abbreviation is because it sounds terrible and WBs just has a better ring to it (here I go being grammatically incorrect for fashion!). But it is actually quite clever, when you know the reasoning behind it. Blog is the abbreviated version of the phrase Web Log. In this, instead of a 'w' to represent 'web the 'b' at the end was taken. I used this knowledge to get WBs from WeB Minions. To make you (the WBs) involved in this blog more and in your nicknaming, I will be setting up a poll letting you tell me which abbreviation you prefer.

I love pop music and what better way to enjoy Top 40 music than for free, any time you like, on the radio! If it's pop you want there are only, really two options. Two opposing team playing the same music, battling for your ears. It's Nova vs. Today Network (2Day, 101.9 The Fox, B105, SAFM, 92.9, NXFM, 104.7) in the war of the stations. Now, I am staunch Today Network supporter. The shows are just much better quality and they don't play the weird random songs Nova does. I used to listen to Nova so I now the comparison. I cannot believe I ever enjoyed that horrible station. I. HATE. NOVA. If any of you WBs are Nova listeners I am going to have to love you a bit less. Voice your opinion in yet another poll and tell me which team you're fighting for (or let us know if you're a peacemaker).

Has anyone else noticed that, lately, channel ten (whoop!) have been naming their shows after the time they come on (7pm Project, 6pm with George Negus and the 6:30 News). As convenient as it is, not having to waste time telling you when it's on (in ads) and people will never forget when it's on (unless you forget the title [obviously]) but I can't help but find it funny. I am honestly thinking of changing the name of this blog to "Didzsa's Whenever You Feel Like Viewing It Totally Tagyified Random Blog". Poll opportunity! What do you think of my (possibly) new title?!?

According to some book I read, a good way to get more Followers (currently: 0!) that will hopefully get me out of cyber-loner-ness (follow me, follow me, follow me WBs!) is to mention or link other blogs (in your blog). In my 'Josh Thomas and Randomness' post I think I forgot (... let's just call it forgetfulness) to provide a link to his blog ('cause [even my slang abbreviations are grammatically correct!] I said it was out-dated and boring...) But it's acutally pretty funny (maybe [I haven't really bothered to read any]) so I'll give you the link (in hope it will bring Web Minions)   http://joshthomasdiary.blogspot.com/ (contains coarse language and possibly sexual references [LIS {like I said}, I haven't really read any. But Josh is awesome so I'm sure it's not bad.]) I couldn't think of a poll to do with this paragraph.

Apologies for the lack of comedy in this post (especially that last paragraph!). Hopefully the thrill of involvement will make up for the little humour. So remember vote in the poll, and the other one, and the other other one (and the original TAYG one), listen to Today Network, never listen to Nova again, laugh at the perfectly obvious titles channel ten has given it's programs and remember to remember to vote in my polls.

Ciao, Arrivederci, Arrivederla, Cya, Bye-Bye, Sayonara (TAYG reference [hi-five!]) Web Minions!

Stealing Shaun Micallef’s Lines and Hilarious, Bad Jokes

Ciao Web Minions,
Come stai? Bene? Eccellente! (Don’t Ask)(Use a translator instead, lazy!) (Btw it’s Italian) Wow the title of the post is uncharacteristically long (and so is that word [uncharacteristically ]!. I never noticed before). Again with the brackets! Before we get carried away, I’m going to stop you there (not literally, it just sounds cool). I’d like to take this time to ask you to sit down and put your hands far away from each other for an introduction that Shaun Micallef would be proud of! (Metaphorically) (He would probably be more peeved that I was stealing his lines.) (I did write this myself though.)
If the world was particularly small parrot, always repeating it’s self, causing it’s owner to leave his cage on the street with the possibility that an optometrist may pick up that cage and take it to work with him, then teaching the parrot to pronounce his formal title (doctor), to entertain his patients, causing parrot to repeat the new word it has learnt, than the world would much resemble the title of this next paragraph: Bad Jokes! (OMG, that was so bad!) (It doesn’t even make any sense! I guess that was kinda the point though.)
Like I said in my third post (if you haven’t read it, STOP! Now go back and read all the posts before this, I order you to Web Minion!) I love comedy! I especially love good comedy like TAYG, but I also love bad jokes! They are so hilarious. This is a list of my all time favourite jokes (jokes, not skits or gags); some of them are really bad. Then again some might not be too shabby but most are at least stupidly obvious or curiously tedious.
1. A man walked into a bar: Ouch! (lol!)
2. A man wearing garlic around his neck walks up to a lady. “Why are you wearing garlic around your neck?” she ask. “To ward away vampires,” he replies. “But there are no vampires!” she interjects. And then the man says “It must be working, then.”
3. (This is the really tedious one) A man is walking through the desert, thirsting. He came across a man selling ties. “Water! Water!” he croaks. But the man only had ties. He kept walking until he came across another man selling ties. “Water! water!” he croaks. Again it was only ties. Finally the man finds a restaurant. “Water! I need to come in for water!” he pants. But the waiter at the door says, “Sorry, you’re not allowed in without a tie.”(Hahahaha, lols)
4. (I got this from the TAYG 2010 Christmas Special. It was a lead in to the ads and was supposed to make fun of how terrible Christmas cracker jokes are. It was hilarious!) A: My dog has no nose. B: How does he smell? A: He can’t, I just told you he has no nose!
5. (This one is actually quite dog and I have no idea why it is in this bad jokes segment of my blog) (Oh, TAYG too)
If vampires don’t cast reflections and don’t have beards, how do they shave?

Okay, I’ve wasted enough of your time; I’ll go now. Remember... actually you have nothing to remember; this post was rather useless. Do remember to watch TAYG tonight though. It looks like it’s going to be funny! TTFN! Sayonara (TAYG reference, high five!) WBs!

If you are the first to post the answers I promise I will find a way to give you some sort of prize if you win!

Josh Thomas and Randomness

Hi-hi Web Minions,
Do you know who Josh Thomas is? Waiting for your answer would be pointless so I’ll give the answer for those who said “no” in their heads. Josh Thomas is a taygified comedian (I just remembered I mentioned him in my previous post). He also is the gen Y team GENeral on TAYG (and also very cute!). I’m pretty sure he’s 23 and at age 17 he won the Melbourne Comedy Fest Raw thing (I don’t really know what that is but it sounds impressive.) Links:
There’s a blog too but I don’t know when it was Josh last posted on it. He’s really funny. As well as TAYG he’s been on ‘Good News Week’, ‘Celebrity Masterchef’, ‘The 7pm Project’ & ‘Rove’. (Channel Ten ROCKS!) (My fav shows are TAYG, Glee, Masterchef and SYTYCD!) If you know (as in personally) or are Josh Thomas, please comment. If you are Josh Thomas, hi! You are the most hilarious and taygified person EVER! Btw Web Minions, if you look at the comments on the TAYG Bio (the second link), which I suggest you do, scroll down and look for the comment by ‘JoshForSteph’. In that comment she says “I am as ditzy as you” and “I’m a little bit more sensible than you”. Wow, I’m sure he’s so flattered, being referred to as ditzy and insensible! Lol! “I have an excellent idea, LET’S CHANGE THE SUBJECT” March Hare, 1951 (Disney’s Alice in Wonderland). Well not completely. I don’t know how comedians do it? Make people laugh I mean. I wish I was funny enough to be a comedian. I absolutely love comedy! Maybe I should add ‘Comedian’ to the long list of dream occupations (In order of preference: Author, Journalist, Graphic Designer, Dancer, Choreographer, English Lecturer, Hip Hop(dance) Instructor, Interior Designer, Manga Author, Fashion Designer, Landscaper.) (Well... I’m allowed to dream!). I said (typed would be much more grammatically correct) just before that my favourite channel is Channel Ten (seriously) (& Eleven [digital branch of Ten], Hello) (What a stupid catch phrase!). (Sorry if you got a bit lost on that last sentence!) What’s your favourite channel (comment)? I’m using a lot of brackets in this blog aren’t I? I don’t usually use brackets when I’m talking and that. (That was a stupid sentence: you can’t pronounce brackets... usually anyway.) Look I did it again! I am not even using them grammatically correct! Never mind. Web Minions I order you to tell your friends and family (and random strangers if you really want) who might be interested in my blog, about it, so I have more followers, so I can feel liked. I need to feel loved! Thnx WBs! Well...er...um. Cya, I guess. Remember ‘Josh Thomas’ and share me with your friends (family etc.)! Sayonara (TAYG reference, high five!) Web Minions!
p.s- p.s in a message means ‘postscript’ as in something you wrote after the end of the message.

TAYG and taygified

Hi minions! What type of mood are you in? (I’m not actually looking for an answer, just trying to lead into the subject of this post.) I am in a Taygified mood. You probably don’t know what that means! If you know what TAYG means that would help. Just in case you haven’t heard of TAYG (poor you), I guess I should tell you what that is. ‘TAYG’ (pronounced ‘t-ai-g’)  is one of two abbreviations of hilariously awesome aussie show, ‘Talkin’ ‘bout Your Generation (the second being ‘Your Gen’.) It is officially the most awesome and taygified show EVER! (Also my favourite show)  It’s hosted by Shaun Micallef (hilarious) along with team GENerals, Amanda Kellar for Baby Boomers, comedian/presenter Charlie Pickering for Gen X and comedian Josh Thomas (cutie) for Gen Y. Each week these three are joined by a celebrity from the same generation and compete for some random trophy someone has sent in. (TAYG is a game show/comedy) If you have a lame trophy you don’t want any more you can offer to send it in via the website (link below). It’s on channel ten at 7:30 Tuesday. Watch it – I order you to my Web Minions! (At least one episode. After watching one I won’t be able to stop you watching it!) If you’re too excited to wait for TAYG you can watch it online (http://ten.com.au/talkin-bout-your-generation.htm ). If you live outside Australia (unlikely!), firstly, why on earth are you wasting your time reading my dumb blog? (Thank you, I feel very loved) Secondly, you can try the website but I think you can only watch if your computer’s in Australia (it would be weird if your computer was in Australia and you weren’t), or you can search for TAYG (the unabbreviated version) on You Tube.  Now that you know what TAYG is, I’m sure you want to find out what ‘taygified’ is (Okay, I’m not sure but I hope you still want to know!). Here is a dictionary definition of my made up word.
taygified (pronounced ‘t-ai-g-erf-I-d)  adjective 1. Feeling a combination or excitement, spontaneity, joy, craziness, hyperactivity, and comic thinking often for or to do with Australian television program, ‘Talkin’ ‘bout Your Generation’
2.  A word used to describe something pleasantly hilarious, enjoyable and unique e.g. ‘I thought the new television show was taygified’
Like it? I think it’s an awesome word! Web Minions I order you to use the word ‘taygified’ (when appropriate) and try and get as many people saying it as possible! (But don’t tell my brother. When he said it, I told him not to use the word because it was my word! lol!) If you didn’t like my unusually insane ad for TAYG here is a more sensible (there is nothing sensible about TAYG though) version:
Are your Tuesday evenings a little dull? Yes? Well, flick on over to Channel Ten. Join Silver Logie winner and all round funny man, Shaun Micallef along with Amanda Keller, Charlie Pickering and Josh Thomas in a show that’s fun for the whole family: Talkin’ ‘bout Your Generation! This is the show that dared to mix a quiz show with fads and comedy, resulting in the intergenerational madness that is Your Gen. Shaun and the team GENerals will have you ‘lol’ing from the introduction right up until they come (as they inevitably must) to End Game. You’ll have to fight back the giggles as you watch the Baby Boomers, Generations X and Gen Y battle it out, racing to determining which generation is best! Test your knowledge of the eras all while having a good chortle with your friends and family. No matter what your age, the fun on ‘Talkin’ ‘bout Yuor Generation’ never gets old! Break the generational barrier and ROFLOL all night long – watch ‘Your Gen’, 7:30 Tuesday on Ten (seriously). A ‘Grenada’ production.
That’s all for now I s’pose, minions. Remember what I ordered you - watch TAYG and say taygified. Sayonara (TAYG reference, high five) (I know you can’t give me a high five (or can you?), that’s just something I say when I say something to do with TAYG) Web Minions!
p.s Believe it or not neither Channel Ten nor Grenada are paying me for this post!
p.p.s I wish Ten & Grenada did pay me just to say TAYG!
p.p.p.s I’m going to look up what ‘p.s’ stands for!

Introductions and Hi’s

Yo! Greeting web world! This is my first post on my first blog. My Name is Didzsa (well obviously that’s not my real name!) (No offence to anyone actually called Didzsa!). I am a girl living in Australia.  Welcome to my blog, Web Minions. Just W.O.W (Word of Warning), I think all of my posts will be grammatically disgusting and sorry if my jokes are bad. Don’t let me saying that make you want to go away. Speaking of going away, don’t. Please don’t stop reading my blog if you do I’ll feel lonely, like I have no friends. If no-one is reading that means I’m writing to myself and that means I’m unpopular. L I don’t want to be lonely! So please, pretty please stay tuned for my next post!  By know you’re probably wondering what this blog is going to be about... well...er...I’m wondering that too. Hopefully that means that (out of curiosity) you’ll keep checking my blog to find out what the mysterious topic of this is. Well, hopefully. Hopefully that doesn’t mean you’ll go to a different blog or website. That’s all I guess. Sorry if I wasted your time with this pointless post. Though please come back on check if I’ve posted again to make me feel loved! Bye bye Web Minions!
